Shorting NIO?
Did I write something about shorting NIO?
Nope, not me. In my 25+ years of trading stock, I've never shorted anything.
So, what on earth are you writing?
I bought shares of NIO a few times early last year, and I sold Calls against those shares, and I made quite a bit of money doing that. And the strike of the Calls was higher than the shares, but not by much.
But that is totally different from shorting a stock. Think of a CC trade as taking out an insurance policy except you get paid for it, not the insurance company.
I imagine that to you, trading penny stocks means more than anything else.
As I wrote earlier, I'll take a look at trading NIO after it gets close to maybe $9. At that point it won't be a penny stock anymore.
