High school student discovers planet 6.9 times larger than earth and (get this) which is 1,300 light years away !.....

According to NASA, TOI 1338 b is 6.9 times larger than Earth (in between the size of Neptune and Saturn) and is located in the constellation Pictor, about 1,300 light-years away from Earth. For context, the Earth’s sun is between seven and nine light-minutes away.

WHAAAAAAT ?????.....Like, man ! How do they DO that ?......

So travelling at the speed of light (1.3 million miles per second ?), it'd take 1,300 years to get there ???......

Correction : Oh.....The speed of light in a vacuum is 186,282 miles per second

So travelling at the speed of light (186,282 miles per second), it'd take 1,300 years to get there.......

And yet still they are able to discern a planet which relatively-speaking is still pretty tiny

Just boggles the mind - does it not ? *Of a layman
