He can't do much as long as Mitch McConnell is running the country, on the domestic side, and BT is a significant campaign contributor to the Senator. During a non-election year, for him, 2017-2018 - the most recent stats - he received the 3rd highest amount of all the Senators, about $34.5K, plus, who knows how much from individual industry execs. Doesn't sound like a lot but in that world it is.

McConnell has something like 200 bills bottled up in the Senate that were passed by the House. If he doesn't like something, government doesn't move on it, apparently. Maybe next year, literally.

Well there is progress albeit $painfully slow but Zeller noted that in the various interviews its clear he wants to do it.
