These are great ideas. Maybe the liberal commies in Cali should consider finding homeowners that are willing to put FEMA trailers in their backyards. If everyone on their block supports the idea, let em do it, and support the homeowners that are willing to support the homeless. These homeless people need secure, safe places to store their things while they try to get their lives back on track. They need running water to shower, brush their teeth, a toilet, a kitchen. There are literally thousands of new FEMA trailers being stored all over the country and not being used. See the video attached. Some of these trailers cost us taxpayers 65k a piece, they actually look pretty comfy, and are being sold at auction for as little as $100. There are 130,000 homeless people in California. I'm pretty sure that a majority of those homeless are struggling with mental health disorders and drug addiction, and those homeless people need a program more like what you've described, but the tens of thousands of homeless that just need a hand up, and some support with a safe and secure place to live while they get back on their feet, let civilians bring in the FEMA trailers. I think there would be plenty of homeowners with the space that would be willing to support this idea, and "sponsor" a homeless person or family, and do everything they can to help try to get some of these people's lives back on track, and try to prevent them from going back to living on the streets. I'd do it, but like I said, most of these people need mental health services, and rehabilitation services. They are unemployable. Drugs/alcohol addiction and mental health issues are the main reason why most of these people are homeless. Regardless, they are still people, and shouldn't just be left on the streets to die there. The Community Mental Health Act of 1963(JFK)is what started this whole mess...deinstitutionalization. They closed down the mental hospitals where a majority of these people belong.
