The use of preferred shares is to maintain control of a company during a hostile take over. Conversion is not an issue here, and if it was ...that would mean a buyout is coming very shortly!

This is a long term winner. DGF only coneverted 87 preferred shares out of 500 last time I checked. There is a very good reason for that!!!!
