Just a bit over three miles as the crow flies from the plant Dow built to make QDs using the technology they licensed from Nanoco. You can almost see the Dow plant in the picture in the article. Guess where the QDs Samsung will be using probably won't be coming from. At least not produced with the Nanoco technology. Why? despite 10's or 100's of $millions invested to make it work? Because in chemical engineering, things don't always scale up as you think they will, and sometimes, until you you actually do it, you just don't know.
