MVT Solutions CertifiedTM testing found the OptecTM Fuel Maximizer achieved 5.00% fuel savings on a modern reefer trailer with Carrier refrigeration unit. The OptecTM test consisted of 18 hours to ensure consistency and to quantify trends with the system. The Baseline run was 12 hours. Two trailers were used, one as a test trailer and the the other a comparison. They operated in identical conditions with a -20°F Set Point and operating on a Continuous cycle to maintain load on the engine.
The OptecTM Fuel Maximizer installation was fast and easy, taking approximately 45 minutes with one technician. No moving parts on the OptecTM system make it very simple and it requires no operator input or maintenance.
