I've had a fire three nights in a row. Just figured out I have the most heat inefficient fireplace on the face of the planet. Chimney is on the outside. Most of the heat is going straight out the back. I'd probably save more money on fuel oil if I kept the dang thing shut all season. NO WAY! I love my evening fire. Plus which I've been stockpiling wood over the last two years and now I should have enough to burn that has been sitting for at least a year and a half... That stuff is gorgeous! Doesn't matter how big the log. Whack! catches quickly and burns brightly. Just a little bit of heaven on earth.
Back to football.
Figure we could be in trouble tomorrow. Iowa has to be POed big time after losing to MSU. They're at home. We were lifeless last Saturday. Didn't finish anywhere near the point spread. Oregon took some of the fight out of us. Not the stuff of which champions are made. Got to get over it and move on. Wonder how our team is feeling after seeing OR get TROUNCED last weekend.
I did miss a lot of your game thanks to the storms knocking out my reception. Dang satellite. So I'm not in a position to judge. Seems like they are slowly pulling it together though. Sure hope JoPa is able to move them forward... more for his sake than the team's. The TV know-it-alls are adding to the "time to retire" rumble. Not fair to a man who gave the Lions the right to say... "We are Penn State."
