There are known facts and there are assumptions. Some assumptions may turn out to be fact (and some may not). All I ask is that people don’t say a piece of glass is a pile of shards if it’s actually a piece of glass.
Maybe the piece of glass will turn to shards and maybe it won’t. I’m certainly not going to look the other way to allow someone to pursue a self-fulfilling prophecy by purposely stepping on the glass to create shards.
