well, no. See, you fail to understand that these test helps detect WHAT type of cancer someone might have. From there, the doctor can determine the right course of action to try and treat it. While the battle against cancer is getting better, medicine is still in the dark ages in actually curing it. And just because you can detect it doesn't mean you can beat it. You might want to research more about it before you talk about it because you obviously are a bit ignorant on the subject.
