I grew up in a family with (10) siblings. Money was always an issue because we had very little. I loved my father more than life, he worked very hard and did the best he could.
One Saturday morning, I was 12 years old at the time, my father drove me to the grocery store my mother frequented. Inside the building, there were two separately owned businesses, a Grocery store, and a Liquor store. My father introduced me to Harold the Liquor store manager and after they talked for a while we left.
On the way home I asked my father why he introduced me to Harold and he said: “I need you to do me a favor, I got you a job at that store, starting tomorrow you will work Monday through Saturday (5) hours a day, 4 P.M to 9 P.M and I will need you to give me your paychecks to help with family expenses. In those days family was a priority and anything the family needed was not questioned.
When I turned 16 I was offered a job working for the Grocery store where I became a Union employee stocking shelves and operating a cash register. At the age of 18 I moved on to a much larger Grocery retailer, 4 years later I was promoted to store manager.
At 22, I got married, bought my first house, and had my first child. A year later I had my second child, 6 years later and after 8 years my marriage ended in divorce and I left the Grocery business, now 32 years later I am single and HAPPY!
MY CREDENTIALS As I moved forward in my life and my working career I was always wanting more. Every job I had I did it well and never had a problem moving up the ladder.
After I left the Grocery business I applied for and got a very high paying, high powered job as the Vice President and the Head of Product Development for a San Francisco based Company. In 10 years I created and introduced to the market place 3 products that all enjoyed Global Success! Finally, I left the company to pursue my success.
I am a Creator and an Innovator and after seeing Diabetes and Obesity in America skyrocketing out of control, my mind raced with a flurry of ideas and “GOOD FOR YOU”, BETTER FOR YOU” came to mind as a way of life consumers needed to be introduced to. I knew I couldn't change the world but my New Product Ideas were an opportunity to offer consumers ALTERNATIVES to the VERY UNHEALTHY lifestyle so many were used to.
