There is really no other way to view a 5-4 vote. I think the supreme court is more centrist and idea of nationalizing the GSEs smacks too much of socialism/communism will make this more of a unanimous decision in favor of the shareholder with all that has been revealed.

It is not about any ideologies. It is mainly about whether scotus will legalize lawless mob bureaucratic rule or bring back constitutional rule of law.

There is so much confusion, distrust and scepticism about lower courts, that the scotus needs to take it seriously and remove all doubts about this issue.

i sure hope so that Mnuchin is trying to lose the case, however....they have confidence that Trump will win the second term (despite of what is going on in the media) in which case they still need to use net sweep money for another 4 years...so there is a possibility that they are not ready to let go of fanny and freddy as yet.

So nobody knows for sure which way the supreme court decision is going to go.
