The stock is trading almost like a "hot new issue" on an IPO. I have a couple of guesses here as to why this is happening. One is a huge preferred private placement is selling along with the common. That leg of the sale won't be immediately dilutive to the common AND it shows that someone out there with very deep pockets is making a big bet on Marinus.
