Gryfus, just to be sure my DTC info is correct, I called back and spoke to Morris Richards, DTC Supervisor for Stock Dividends:

he said it can be the case that a stock divy attaches to sales after the record date when the ex-date is the day after the payment date. BUT IN THIS CASE, not quoted ex eliminates that possibility for EQBM and it "does not carry interim," which means the stock is also NOT "divy pregnant," as has been said here.

Long story made short: "not quoted ex" + "does not carry interim" means that this stock divy spin-off CANNOT be obtained from anyone buying EQBM after the record date AND it CANNOT BE LOST by any holder of record who sells from here on out.
