re: Deswag-Farm bill - Alibaba

I actually found private label droppers/bottles, 200 min order, WITH chinese CBD in it for $5 each or less. I am sure some the frauds we've heard of in market are a Chinese cheapo. THey have to be. 2000 new brands in less than 9 months since the FB passed.

This hurts US hemp farmers as well if the CBD isn't coming from the US, which obviously chinese bottled isn't, if it's even CBD at all.

I believe the passing of the FB without a quick rollout of regulations has damaged this industry far more than it has helped. Even if it helps long term it might become a dance of who can survive long enough as they burn through cash, and get product out before the boom ends.

I was telling a friend about this stock today and he mentioned that he does the in store displays for Fresh Thyme markets. THis year they renovated all their point of purchase displays and a full 10% of their store reno budget was going to CBD displays. He was shocked and asked if they were sure they wanted to do that, they said they were making huge money on CBD and they wanted to ramp up sales. Fresh Thyme carries (or carried) +CBD, I saw their ads.

Before delivery, Fresh Thyme cancelled the CBD POP displays. THey had been raided and their CBD product confiscated. He wasn't sure what law enforcement agency did it. They went to court and eventually got all their product back, but past it's expiration date. They decided to cut back on CBD and debated if they would even keep carrying it. This is 77 stores. Stores that were advertising +CBD on the front page of their flyer just a few months ago.

THis is the damage being done to the business by lack of guidance and clarity. This is a legit business, who made sure to carry product from a legit business, and got burned. WHile the pop-up CBD store a block away is selling something for less, with zero quality assurances that people think is FDA approved because of the Farm bill.

I fear that rebuilding these retail relationships will take more than acquiring them in the first place.
