I'm a medical card holder in Florida. Luckily I can afford the prices and the fees, but many who really need the help have dropped out of the program if indeed they've been in it. The costs compared to the street is way up there according to some of the posters on another site. The 75.00 to the state is doable for most but the doctors fees, which you must pay twice a year are between 170 and 250 X 2. The growth is so great that many dispensaries are out of product very early if they had it at all. The problem is it's a vertical program. The companies have to plant it, grow it, harvest it, transport it and sell it..plus the fees to be in the business are out of reach for anyone but the very wealthy. They are trying to get some new laws passed to open things up and many are really hoping for home grow as many medical and recreational states permit. Time will tell if the government agency's get their act together, but it seems they are at a better point than our Canadian neighbors.

That is what Bruce said from day 1. That is why he invested heavily in medical research and GMP compliant facilities and worked on gaining credibility with the regulators and medical profession. This investment in the future is why everyone is whining about profits but it is setting us up for great rewards in the future.
