That isn't even the most compelling truth to this transaction. I find it MOST interesting the CCAA judge continued the confidentiality agreements and sealed documents BEYOND the closure of CCAA.
That's an awful lot of secrets for a defunct enterprise. ;-)

That statement made about doing Chapter 15 and letting the CCAA court take over? Yeah, I can see them saying that on that date and about that transition happening, since there was still hope for a sale of the whole company, restructuring, refinancing, etc., what better place to get maximum value for predominantly Canadian assets than in the Canadian courts?
Too bad it didn't work out and the company was liquidated. Oh well.
