Mexus claimed they had to clean up the environmental mess left behind by MarMar. Not sure exactly what environmental issues had to be cleaned up, but taking 40,000 tons of cyanide-contaminated gravel and dumping it into a wash or whatever they did with it.....is a problem.
The problem with hobby-level miners and companies always short on cash is that environmental compliance tends to suffer. They seem to always leave a mess behind when they shut down and move on......
