Imo, it's definitely worth taking a few minutes to read about "value-based reimbursements" for healthcare for anyone hear who isn't familiar with the concept. This will be the new model adopted in the US, trust me. It's IS the future, I guarantee it (as a physician we've heard rumblings of this for 5-10 years now). In fact, I suspect it will eventually be the standard throughout Europe and other developed nations as well. It's already happening in some systems.
Now that the tech is "here" to provide the data necessary to drive this model of reimbursements (payments) for healthcare providers, it is only a matter of time til it's being implemented all over the world. No system is perfect, of course. But this payment model is far superior to "fee-for-service" payment model in several ways. Most importantly of all, it rewards good care for patients, so it's a win-win for patients and competent/diligent providers alike.
It's now much clearer to me why Clinigence chose iGambit for this RM. Folks, they really wanted/needed IGMB's tech in addition to the obvious gain of obtaining a publicly-traded ticker.
