Author’s intent would be the best way to find out by asking him. The way I’ve always viewed “found money” is that it’s money not planned on to execute the business. It’s like a “bonus” for the company. If that’s the case for DECN, then they obviously were able to fund at least a significant portion of what they need going forward. I would think any settlement money just makes it that much better with extra resources for executing their plans.
