Pre-rut activity has started, Colt. October, the mature bucks get just a bit squirrly, as the older does come into heat for the first cycle. November, it peaks when all of the younger does hit the oestrus cycle. The absolute high point is the second week of November in a typical year.
The first real cold front of the year moved through a few days ago, and we got a reinforcing shot last night. Saturday should be a great day for us to be in the woods. Forcasts are for lows in the upper 30's and highs on Saturday in the low 60's. Fall is here, and this hunter is ready. After the weather in BC, this should be like a walk in the park.
