There's no doubt the good numbers should perk attention up for the mining sector. Like you say the profits will be mainly in the producing miners that will have nice Q3 profits since we seen the uptick in the gold price.

Companies like FMG won't show it on their balance sheet, but the gold they have in the ground has also made nice paper gains in a rising gold market.
