The way that the ticker cheerleaders describe it, the brokers would be heavily fined and possibly sanctioned or even forced to reorg pending civil SEC cases, if not DOJ criminal cases.
Every pumped penny has the same bullshit posted about all of the above, and more.
The fact of the matter is that these tickers always get abandoned for a a couple/few years and they try to reinvent the "next big thing."
We all know how this will end.
A ticker change is meaningless, other than to pump and dump.
