GATE FEE
Gate fee is the payment that the WTE plant collects per ton of waste received. Normal rate disposal costs US$30/ton for industrial and commercial waste. 70 ton per day x $30 = $2100 x 365 days = $766,500
CARBON CREDITS
(Certified Emission Reductions – CERs) from the CO2e emissions avoided by the WTE plant through the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). CERs are currently trading between US$12 and US$20.
METALS SALE
Metals can be recovered from the bottom ash of the WTE plant is about 50% and 8%, respectively. Metals recovered from the WTE plant
can be sold at an average of US$1/kg.
