Alpert is the main connection. He is co-CEO of PIOE and also Interim CEO of Globalscape (GSB).
Some of these investment funds seem to spring up like weeds. lol A year ago this Long Path Smaller Companies Fund, LP had only $4.5M. A year later it has about $53M in funds!
Anyway, I don't see any plausible connection currently between PIOE and GSB, besides Alpert that is.
