I don't think you understood where I was going or what I was saying.

Someone's signature to a message could read "Disclaimer; I've been paid 25 bazillion free trading shares to promote WXYZ etc etc."

Look at the same post 3 months later and the siggy says "I like ABCD"

Lots of people use the siggy as a general disclaimer, if it doesn't stick to the message and stay there, then there are also possible legal ramifications for the poster if it appears the poster wasn't giving full disclosure of facts.
