Kind of sounds like a deal was made to make Omega happy so they don’t interrupt the follow on procurement which will be awarded between 1/1/20 and 3/31/20
So, a 12 month with possibility of an additional 12 months would give plenty of time to get a new player in air-to-air up and running for the contract to be awarded in Q2 of FY 20... We are in Q1 of FY 2020 right now.

This support is critical to provide AAR Services to USN Fleet and Test & Evaluation community."
This seems similar to the extension prior to the award in April 2019.
