Good point. Apple was 23.8% of BRK's portfolio on their June 30 13F filing. That number surely exceeds 25% now given Apple's powerful performance lately. I think AAPL hit an all-time high yesterday.

Buffett never claimed to use shotgun diversification although he recommends S&P 500 index funds for many investors, those who don't have a staff of top drawer analysts to draw on. The key takeaway is BRK isn't an index fund, as many investors think it is.

As you may know, I own UTX via my profitable long term holding in Rockwell Collins that UTX acquired last year. The restructuring into separate units for Carrier and Otis is certainly dragging. Looking forward to that because spinoffs (like Boeing) have been very good to me over the decades,
