This is a fair point, but I think there’s a strong counter-argument. Just because a company has money doesn’t mean it’s in their best interest to do an IPO.

Spotify and Slack didn’t do traditional IPOs, instead doing DPO(s).

Basically, just because a company has cash doesn’t mean they want to waste 10s of millions of dollars on an IPO - in fact it could be the opposite, as explained here https://www.fool.com/investing/2019/02/04/slack-ipo-what-investors-need-know-direct-listing.aspx
