Believe444...There are celebrities endorsing cannabis.
Canada has some tight restrictions on marketing cannabis...so their use in Canada is limited...there are some celebrities signed on for promotional purposes. Snoop Dog I believe is aligned with Canopy...Gene Simmons from KISS is a spokesman for another company that has lost most of its value.
I may get backlash and regret saying this....but I am not a big fan of celebrity endorsements. I'm not saying it can't work in some cases. A paid endorsement is nothing more than that....it doesn't make it better because a celebrity uses it. The two above examples are a perfect case of it not working that well....both stocks are down hard. Further...using Gene Simmons to endorse a product that he spent his life openly opposing...seems like a waste of time and money.
A smarter use of celebrity status is....when they launch their own brand lines. Such as Chongs Choice...Cheech's brand....Willie Nelson has Willies Reserve. Not only are they making money off their name...they are making money off the products they produce. In addition...they license others to produce their line of products...to be cultivated to particular strains and standards unique to each brand.
I don't see where it would be a big advantage for celebrities to "endorse" our products. A celebrity endorsement would mean we paid them to say it's a great product.
Citation has something much better than celebrity endorsement....we have TRIPLE CERTIFIED ORGANC cannabis. That is a fact Jack...and no one can take that away from us. Celebrities may flock to it because they love knowing they are getting the best cannabis in the country. If celebrities flock to it....because it is Triple Certified Organic.....that is the highest form of endorsement you can get. We are the only one that has that high of grade cannabis. Let the outstanding quality of the cannabis do the talking.
People shouldn't use a product because a celebrity got paid to tell you to do that. People should flock to a product because it is "CERTIFIED" the best...by organic certification organizations. Paid actors...say what they are paid...to say.
A celebrity that launches his/her product line...shows they truly believe in their product.
As far as benefits for Citation...I personally think our best use of celebrities...would be to license their products for cultivation by Citation in the triple certified facilities. This way we get name brand genetics...produced to our best in class production facilities. When we get 500,000 sf of cultivation built out.....cultivating the highest quality cannabis...cultivating the most popular strains in Nevada...including celebrity brands...will help keep our facilities growing to capacity...with the highest margins possible. Which is just the opposite of the cucumber farmers at FLOOF growing the cheapest grade cannabis the state of California sells. Growing the cheapest grade equals lowest margins. Cultivating the highest grades possible...will produce the highest margins
It is my hope that Citation doesn't get into celebrity endorsements...for our....already triple certified organic cannabis products. That would be spending money to get an actor to say what...triple certified organic...has already proven.
It is also my hope that Citation does license known successful brands for mass contract cultivation to keep all of our future Nevada facilities (569,000) operating at maximum capacity. Cheech's Choice, Chongs brand and Willies Reserve are good examples....of true endorsers of the industry...for fifty years. Not just a pretty face paid to say good things.
With Citation producing the highest grade cannabis in the industry....the likely hood of celebrity brands wanting and trusting us enough to produce their products....becomes a likely business model.
The best endorsement we could get...is not a paid celebrity saying we are great....but celebrities like Cheech's and Chong...or Willie Nelson....trusting Citation to produce their brand. That would be the highest form of celebrity endorsement.
These are just my opinions...if we got a celebrity endorsement I could get egg on my face. If Citation does choose to use celebrities...let's hope it is done properly and not a waste of money as the GENE flop has proven.
