#8017 RE: STILL TOWING #8015

MAJOR step forward for the project! The only reason for Whistler Pipeline LLC to sign an interconnect agreement is if the Mirage project is moving forward.

The Whistler Pipeline just received a FID (firm investment decision) on June 10, 2019.

Their partners are..

MPLX, First Infrastructure Capital-backed WhiteWater Midstream, and a joint venture of Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners and West Texas Gas have reached a final investment decision to move forward with the design and construction of Whistler Pipeline which will transport natural gas from the Permian basin to the Texas Gulf Coast.

yea so we now have these three pipelines being developed coming out of west texas: Permian Highway Pipeline, Gulf Coast Express, and Whistler, which in total could move 6 Bcf/d (Billion Cubic feet per day)

Whistler is a joint venture among:
- Marathon Petroleum's MPLX LP
- WhiteWater Midstream
- Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners (private equity)
- West Texas Gas

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/mplx-whitewater-midstream-and-stonepeakwtg-proceeding-with-whistler-pipeline-project-300862967.html (June 5, 2019)

"Whistler will tie directly into the most attractive markets in South Texas, including the growing LNG and Mexican markets."

We need to keep in mind that Mirage's focus is mostly Mexico, and so all this pipeline building jockeying in the US is not competition (which is a concern/question I hear from time to time) but rather facilitating what Mirage is doing.
