I was surprised that Perlowin admitted the following in the interview for this article:
Importing. Hemp. Hurd.
CEO Perlowin wouldn't need to import hemp hurd if he had succeeded in getting the Spring Hope decortication and MacTavish lines up-and-running, which is something I've been talking about for years now:
If he had completed those two lines, he could have been selling milled kenaf hurd for bioplastics a couple of years ago, and then any profits from that operation could have been used to reconfigure the decorticator to handle industrial hemp.
Finally, I've found it interesting that it's been several months since Bruce's Facebook page has highlighted any of his "First Thursday" tours of the plant.
