I think he is confusing his home-brewed idea of a "QD physical key" and "quantum key distribution" which, as was discussed here a while back, requires a fiber running parallel to the wired internet and relies on quantum properties of a photon that can only be measured once, as opposed to an optical pattern that can't be duplicated but does have to be digitized like any other cryptographic key.
My guess is that QMCs actual use of blockchain is going to be fairly pedestrian with common encryption techniques. I think the QDs are going to be in unique tags but nothing else.
