RD, I don't think you understand Seiden's business model.

They make most of their money from fees, collected upfront from disgruntled investors.
Whether the target company has $700 million or negative equity is of much less concern than how much they can raise in funding from potential plaintiffs who are angry with the company's management. If they manage to get a judgment or settlement from a target company, they do take a big chunk of that, but that's just a bonus for the firm.
