Yeah, thats a huge problem too. The last 100 years have changed the entire future of our globe, and the main contributor is population and industrialization. Its complicated and the problems won't go away. With approx. 10-15% of the world's population not having drinking water, it will take approx. 30 years for that to grow to up to 50% and to think that agriculture currently uses 93% of all our exploitable water resources. The future looks grim.
