Fact: something that is known OR proved to be true.

The same way it is a fact that tomorrow is Saturday, the sun will rise, and college football games will be played across the country. None of that has happened yet, but it is a fact that it will. If your saying provide proof, well obviously that can’t be provided before the date. However, it’s very reasonable for those close to the company to plainly state as a fact that the financials will be out Monday. To contest is simply to try to stir the pot.
