That answer seems a bit refined because it is! That's part of the reason the meeting took so long. We wanted to be ABSOLUTELY sure that we were not misinterpreting anything and presenting you guys with facts. Some of this stuff has a logical explaination, just not a quick and easy one.
We know that there are several projects in the works, and others that are "done deals" yet to be announced. What or exactly when we don't know. Your CEO is a "straight up guy" and he was not about to say anything he shouldn't. You can really respect that.
Let me try to give you a little clarification on MY understanding of microforests. We have obtained the rights to ensure that developement in these areas is done in an "eco-friendly" manner.
Let's say you're the ACME widget company, and you want to build a factory or any kind of developement. One small problem...you have a few emissions. How can you offset that? You in effect "sponsor some trees" by donating to the microforest...this ensures that certain areas of trees are protected and won't be cut down. Plus, you don't get to "clear cut" on a wholesale level.
In return, you recieve tax credits for your donation, because in effect, the "trees" you sponsored help to offset your emissions.
As administrators, we help plan your developement in an "eco-friendly" manner and we are entitled to a "fee" from part of your donation.
This is probably a lot more complex, but about as much as my simple mind can grasp. It makes a lot of sense. Hope this helps.
