As a dividend stock it's been damn mediocre as you can see.
So that is why you don't own it? If that is your reasoning, no problem. Others may have a differing opinion as to investing for the long term. I like the dividend. When put into a DRP account, it makes sense to have owned T for a long time. I also own some other good dividend payers, and have them also in DRP accounts, but such stocks do not make up my entire portfolio.
