The fact remains that RAD is bleeding lots of red ink operationally, and the longer it continues down this road the more precarious its position, as companies like this one cannot bleed red ink operationally forever. RAD sold off around 2,000 of its most desired and profitable locations to WBA after the initial buyout by WBA and revised deal could not get government approval. RAD sold these preferred locations to raise badly needed cash to pay of a portion of the mountain of debt that was crushing the company, in order to stave off BK. What remains here with RAD is a struggling entity that has neither the size nor the scale to successfully compete in the retail pharmacy space.
