Consider switching some of your FNMA common shares into a Roth IRA before they go up in value. Plenty of time to do so in 2019, then slam some more in January. You'll just need to confirm the max cap on transfers to Roth. I'm not a tax guy, but I seem to recall the amount allowed is $6K or $7K, depending on your age.
If a $4 share goes to, say, $40 (just to pick a number) you could save Fed tax on a bundle.
