That won't work in this situation. An 8-K and PR regarding an investor or takeover would come out shortly after the deal is finalized. Contacting the company will not affect the timeline.
Also, I don't think they have any investor relations firm or person. Another indication that they are not just pumpers. If anything, they could use some IR to get their story out.
