Just like Emmit Smith did you understand. Have Mercy Wolf ahooooooo

You Said;

Sometimes you have to take them hits and get back up.... Cvsi long no other way...

If pro football great Emmitt Smith emerges the victor on ABC's third edition of "Dancing With the Stars," give some credit to the Evelyn Ott School of Dance in Norfolk.

Smith and partner Cheryl Burke polished their routines for several days at the Ott studio on Harold Street. The school, in its 66th year, also has a studio in Chesapeake.
Smith, who with Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin led the Dallas Cowboys to victory in three Super Bowls in the 1990s, isn't from around here, but he has a strong local connection. His wife of six years, the former Patricia Southall, hails from Chesapeake. She was previously married to actor/comic Martin Lawrence.

Last month, when Southall served as mistress of ceremonies for the 2007 Miss USA-Virginia pageant in Norfolk - she won the title in 1993 - Smith accompanied her to Hampton Roads. Not one to waste time, Smith used the visit to rehearse for his appearance on "Dancing With the Stars." The show airs at 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays on WVEC.
He's quite the dancer, said the school's director, Denise Ott Land, and a nice guy to boot.
At the Ott studio, Smith and Burke worked on the number - Robert Palmer's "Simply Irresistible" - that they performed as a tango on the Sept. 26 show.
"For a football player, Emmitt moves quite well on the dance floor," Land said. "We didn't charge ABC for the use of our facilities. Instead of asking for a fee, I mentioned to Smith that we'd appreciate it if he said nice things about us should he win."
Smith so far has excelled in the samba, tango and jive on a show that features celebs not known for their terpsichorean gifts.
Whoever thought you'd see the guy who rushed for 18,000-plus yards in the NFL
