It is well known the Patrick sold his OSTK shares and following his rabbi's advice (W. Buffet). Patrick moved his fiat cash to buy gold (and other hard assets). His comments merely state that IF there is a major market collapse that he is positioned to sell his gold (at a higher price) which he will use to scoop up all of cheap OSTK shares being sold during the market chaos and panic selling. He isnt pozitioned in hard assets for the good of the OSTK long stock holders.... he is hedging that if a major correction occurs he will make a huge profit on OSTK during the crash and recovery.
