It has always been a scam, though. That gizmo is truly a warmed over hoax, there’d never be any revenue from it, especially from utilities that have engineers that know its a hoax. Even if they were to dupe some industry into allowing them to place on onsite (and industry that consumes large amounts of power will have staff engineers as well), it would not save a plug nickel for the customer nor the utility (that’s why they changed their tune to add in all the “green” BS).
They expected to sell stock to be able to pay that G & A and make themselves a nice living while showing “effort” to sell the hoax.
