#10423 RE: grleroy #10415

From grleroy's link, this is the key paragraph regarding why Emerald's SP sucks while Village Farms SP tripled in 2019 when both companies are equally benefiting from the prosperous 50% ownership in the successful Sunfarms.

Putting Everything Together
We think the most likely reasons why the market has discounted Emerald's ownership in Pure Sunfarms is that investors prefer to own the JV through Village Farms, not Emerald. Because of the heavy insider ownership, complicated insider relationships, and poor execution of its own facilities, we think owning Emerald is not an attractive proposition for most cannabis investors. As a result, despite the significant value in Pure Sunfarms, investors have not been kind to Emerald's shares. Going forward, we expect the stock to remain pressured as its own cannabis business remains in development mode after many years of slow progress and lack of momentum. We don't expect meaningful improvement from the company in the near-term given its poor track record, and we think the stock could actually go much lower without its 50% interest in Pure Sunfarms. Should Village Farms manage to acquire Emerald's stake in the JV, we would expect a re-rate of Emerald's stock in the market to reflect the valuation for its 50% ownership and the remaining businesses. However, absent such a transaction, we would stay away from Emerald as there are better ways to either invest in Pure Sunfarms or the Canadian cannabis market.

The previous article identified the problem in this link:

Emerald: The Last Thing You Want Is A Related Party Transaction
Feb. 5, 2019: About: Emerald Health Therapeutics, Inc. (EMHTF).
Summary
Emerald announced a $5 million investment with EHN, a company that is 70% owned by Emerald's largest private shareholder EHS.
Avtar Dhillon, Jim Heppell, and Punit Dhillon are directors of both Emerald (the public company) and EHS (Emereld's largest shareholder).
Without speculating, the deal appears shaky as EHN's products are non-cannabis and significant cross-ownership appears worrisome.
We remain Neutral on Emerald shares and would not recommend the stock due to the insider ownership and related party transaction. There are better and cleaner stories out there.

Avtar Dhillon, Jim Heppell, and Punit Dhillon are scientists involved in cannabis medical products. https://emerald.life/leadership/

If you look through the Emerald.Life's website you will find a hodge podge portfolio of many cool sounding names, of which Sunfarms is one. And without too much trouble I discovered the wound:
https://highenergytrading.com/a-closer-look-into-the-weird-world-of-avtar-dhillon-emerald-health-therapeutics/
While there are many bad signs, this is the knife wound: Earlier this year Emerald purchased Northern Vine from Abbatis (ATT), for the tune of $2 million in cash and 1 million shares.

Now, FYI: Abbatis is a complete and total POS company which is dying because it is a complete and total fraud and it is also part of larger fraud put on by the POS Bridgemark consulting group of Vancouver. Emerald.life purchased Northern Vines from POS Abbatis and so, I assume, because of this connection, Emerald.life is considered damaged and since Emerald.life associates with frauds, Emerald Health is also considered contaminated. If Emerald Health wants to survive, they needs to sever their relationship with Emerald.life.

Here is the news about the ongoing massive fraud case: https://www.vancourier.com/investors-launch-class-action-suit-in-alleged-bridgemark-group-stock-scheme-1.23885623

If any of you want to stay up all night and do some investigative browsing, no doubt you could cross reference names and all of Bridgmarks POS companies and see if you can find any other reasons Emerald.life is the large sucking sound under Emerald Health's floorboards. Emerald Health: escape your parents before the kill you and all of us, too.
