There're stocks that've been suspended after delinquencies as long as eight or ten years; maybe longer. But that's changed in recent years. Now, anything more than two or two and a half years is risky, and sometimes they're going after companies that are only about a year and a half delinquent.

There is no investigation. Either the issuer is delinquent or it isn't.
