He also has experience with mergers and acquisitions, a clean background with other companies, which makes this even more bizarre. It appears he was hired just for this deal which if real, was in talks for longer than the LOI date.

Actually Christensen has been involved in the management of LAHO from at least 2016. In fact the current management of LAHO is exactly the same now as it was back in 2016. All that has happened is that ttheir positions within the company have been juggled around a bit.
