On another note, how are folks scrap metal prices going around country? Here in Hickory, NC region it is beyond pathetic for both scrap dealers (A1 & Mountain Recycling). Same down to Charlotte!
I mean, for years we always separated scrap metals and took to salvage to recoup some costs we spend on going to do estimates for free throughout the year, but hell, even scrap aluminum sheeting from very old building we demo'd a week ago, they only would pay 26 cents per pound !! Over 5,000 pounds of cast iron from large ancient boiler tear down brought total of like $120.00 !!!
I NEVER seen such prices and I lived in the West and in the North. Why is the South so weak on scrap metals???
