The guy who spoke started a new company (in Oss, The Nethermlands - they probably have a Wizard there) that starts clinical trials to combine Pembro with other molecules claiming 30+% improvement. He did not say Bavituximab (just to be clear). So he is no longer with Merck. The guy that worked with Allison is co-founder of that company.
Yes, Allison (Nobel Prize) was mentioned and the work of Jules Borded (Nobel Prize) was refereed to as the past century ground work that has made immune-therapy a discipline of its own.
Furthermore the guy explains that building on past work is way easier then starting without it. Hence is states that those Nobel Prizes are earned.
But just stick to: Improve Pembro by 30%.
BTW he says their is hardly a difference between Pembro and Novilu. He didn't say it explicitly but I know he means: What works in combination with the one will most likely (90%) work with the other.
And if we look at the MOA of Bavi then we see that it has the sufficient generic approach to NOT depend on the molecule of the products it is combined with but is completely aimed at the binding with immune system substances.
And that is where he starts the video and explains the change in philosophy of treatment: Don't fight the cancer, control the environment to let it fight the cancer way better then we can with our chemo's, radiation, etc.
