I don't know firsthand but there's no reason I know of they would not allow someone to short APRU.
The big issue is, like with all penny stocks, you need $2.50 in equity to short every single share.
That means If i want to short 100,000 shares of APRU, i need to have $250,000 cash in my brokerage account.
So let's pretend someone puts $250,000 into a brokerage account, shorts 100,000 shares of APRU, collects $1,500 proceeds, and then waits for the price to drop 50% so they can cover and earn $750 profit.
Tying up $250,000 to earn $750 is absolutely ridiculous. You can make $5,000 year guaranteed just putting that money in a high interest bank account. There's literally no reason for someone to risk so much money hoping to earn less than 1/5th that amount.
This is the reason that all the people claiming penny stocks are being shorted are either fools or liars.
